Hello, I am Liam
I work as a project manager. I am a parent. I am an expat living in Toronto, Canada.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn't in our long-term plan. Like many expatriate moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Nerca Lovim Trez
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level travel material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Website Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Real-world experience from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a genuine change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism-board resource
- Paid-review platform
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Liam
